Summer is finally here and it is fantastic. If you’ve been living the summer life for a while, know I am jealous. Here in NY we get out of school at the end of July and that first week off I always just let things happen but now that we are heading into week 2 it is time for a plan. Now since you are on the inside you totally know by now that making a plan is like my favorite thing to do! It helps keep me organized and on top of everything because summer teacher brain is a real thing! I’m lucky if I know what day it is most days!
To help all of this I set up a morning routine for myself and for my kids. Now before anyone panics this is not an in depth routine. It just helps set expectations for my kids on how the morning will run and it helps me be more calm because I don’t wake up to them asking me a million questions, just a few thousand!
Your routine can look different week to week or day to day but really, especially for your kids, should be consistent. The point is to make this a routine and that happens with consistency! I added some pics of what our mornings look like in the summer so you can get an idea. In the guide there are 3 templates you can choose from. I love the last one for my kids but there are no rules so you do you!
I’d love to hear your thoughts and hear how it goes so please let me know! You can comment back right in this post!
